Just how big is Israel?

Small. Tiny. A grain of sand on the shoreline of the world.

This is not generally well known. Israel is a land of 8,000 sq miles, devoid of any profitable natural resources. With a world population of 12.9 million Jews representing 0.2% of the inhabitants on this planet - one in 504 people is a Jew.

To compare, one in four people are Muslim.

Lookisrael.com provides facts, maps and figures about Israel and Jewish world population in a simple-to-digest format. We list Muslim facts and statistical information as a means of comparison.

Also included is a map section entitled Just how big is Israel which answers the question visually with an easy-to-use map. It allows quick, and for some surprising, comparison of the size of Israel compared to US states and World countries and continents.

As people and Jews we love Israel, the Israeli people and all things Jewish. As Irish Jews you might be interested to know that we have 1,200 Jews in Ireland where the community lives free from prejudice. We are located in South Florida.
